“The Third Highway” intertwines concert and alto flutes, violin and piano, in a gently propelled journey through various colorful lands. The trio is entirely in 4/4 time, though it’s not always apparent. Commissioned and performed by Vermont Virtuosi. A splendid version is on the The Third Highway.
