The Missing Inn March

B-flat clarinet, alto sax, bass clarinet, B-flat trumpet, French horn, trombone, tuba, percussion (1996)

In March 1996, Gunn and fellow composer Dennis Báthory-Kitsz journeyed to Europe to interview composers for the weekly new music radio program Kalvos & Damian’s New Music Bazaar, which they co-hosted. Both wrote tunes to be performed in their “missing in March” absence. Neither was, though MIM ultimately made it onto the by-now oft-mentioned recording of Somewhere East of Topeka.
